I am proud to say that Zach Hamelton was a key member of our production team in the digital media division at Falcon’s Creative Group. For over a year, Zach used his excellent skills in visual effects production management to lead the team to deliver spectacular results for several major projects. As Production Coordinator, Zach supported the team on a wide variety of media projects that involved pre-production and production in live-action, CG animation, visual effects, motion graphics, virtual reality, augmented reality, sound design, and interactive installations for notable clients and IPs such as Marvel Entertainment, National Geographic, PBS, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, and more. Many of these projects dealt with high-level technical complexities that included immense resolutions (up to 10K), high frame rates, stereoscopic 3D workflows, long camera takes, and custom display formats. Zach demonstrated incredible skill, organization, and precision in tracking artists' tasks and schedules to meet weekly goals, and helped to manage studio priorities to reach long-term production milestones. He also worked closely with the pipeline department to improve our process and workflow.
In addition to his core duties, Zach organized much of the digital studio recruiting efforts, championed the casting process for live-action and voice-over talent in accordance with SAG guidelines, and acted as Unit-Production Manager while on set. He also proved to be a valuable resource for various in-house marketing initiatives, helping the company launch the now industry-leading “Experience Imagination” podcast, and providing top-notch editorial support for various demo reels, announcements, and commercials.
What’s more, Zach’s deep passion and enthusiasm for the film and visual effects industry as a whole made him a personable and engaging member of the team. He was very well-liked and has made a lot of friends for life.
